CREDENCE

A lion used to prowl about a field in which Four Oxen used to dwell. Many a time he tried to attack them; but whenever he came near they turned their tails to one another, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. At last, however, they fell a-quarrelling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Then the lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four. – Aesop, sixth century B.C. What do you think kept them alive?

HEY THERE ITS IRIS,

Undeniably, things we can’t see are more real and things we can’t hear are more certain. The power of our subconscious mind works in a mysterious way as suggested by Joseph Murphy in a beautiful book on how affirming our subconscious and believing in something so strongly like it almost feels completely real actually makes it happen . That’s how the universe works for us, it starts from within. The four oxen were alive because of faith in themselves and in others around them, and once they stopped believing in each other, they met their end because nothing on this planet can ever survive without faith.

When we think about faith, it’s easy to direct our thoughts towards religious beliefs and customs but that’s not the faith I am talking about, I mean the one which lies inside an atheist too. The first emotion when we were born, believing that pumping our lungs will help us breathe. This belief can be on big or small tasks just like a butterfly has faith on the flower it sits on that it will provide nectar, that labour painting a tall bridge has faith on the rope he is tied to that it will hold him safe, that driver driving the car has faith on the fellow drivers for sticking to their lane and not colliding against him, As a matter of fact I had faith over the breakfast I had to fulfil my hunger. This is how the world works; faith drives us every single day. We live because we believe in others and everything around us.

If somebody tells you that they don’t have faith then either they are lying to you or themselves because in most practical sense, making decisions about the future or what we call abductive logic is inevitably bathed in faith based considerations. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do see. Believe it or not, you have faith in you, even if it is as small as a mustard seed you can manifest its power to climb mountains, all it really takes is for you to believe that you can because your credence lies in you every single day.

Now whenever you tell yourself that you have not got what it takes, peep inside and take a leap of faith.

  1. Lavanya, You have written in a very very realistic way about the faith …. yes, we live on faith everyday and plan for tomorrow – having faith that we will wake up in the morning and implement the plan.

    Keep writing, god bless

    1. Thankyou so much Reader ❤️ Yes indeed, Faith is seeing light in your hearts when all your eyes can see is darkness. I will try my best to live up to your expectations. It’s very encouraging 🌺☺️
